About Us

 In 2014 Friends of Shalom for Uganda was established as a 501(C)(3) Non-for-Profit Corporation. Below listed we present our "History of Mission" which displays milestone events which demonstrates our past successful results to give motivation and joy to our continued commitment to helping poor residents of a rural Ugandan community in East Africa.

•2014 Friends of Shalom for Uganda is formed as a Non-for-Profit 501 (c) (3) in Illinois.
•2014 Campaign Begins to fundraise for new medical center.
•2015 Mary Queen of Heaven Community Medical Center. Opens for Out-Patient Medical Services.
•2015 Village Students Education Funding (tuition & school fees).
•2017 Solar Panels Donated, Installed with Battery Backup System - Vaccines now possible.
•2018 Maternity Ward Established.
•2019 Sponsored a Free Medical Camp (Awareness & Care).
•2022 Start Accepting Patients on an Overnight Basis.
•2023 Ultrasound Machine Donated and Installed.
•2024 Archdiocese of Mbarara Became Administrator for Medical Facility (Phase 1 complete).

Phase 1 – History of Charitable Support Review

Our focus is on raising money for the construction, supply, and operations of a community hospital and volunteer center to provide health, spiritual, psychological and hospice care to the local people. While hospital construction is underway and the medical center and volunteer centers are open, continued assistance will be provided for new and improved educational facilities, with continued support of underprivileged students living in the local village communities.
